You’re in the right place.
"I have a conviction that a few weeks spent in a well organized summer camp may be of more value educationally than a whole year of formal school work"— Charles Eliot, former President of Harvard University
The opportunities for our children today are vast and remarkable. Few, however, provide such a meaningful and profound impact as those opportunities that are found at an overnight camp.
As parents, you want your kids to have a safe, rewarding and fun summer. We agree.
Because of this shared connection, we created Lantern Camps, a collection of the finest overnight camps in the U.S. Each of these camps offers a unique culture and program focus. What is common among them, however, is a dedicated focus on youth development. They view their program activities and cabin life as tools to grow the character of their campers. They are deliberate in their program design to better serve the values and ideals that we embrace as parents : honesty, integrity, resilience, community, confidence, and independence. Overnight camps are unique in this way and no other programs provide a forum that address each of these. The result is emotional, mental and physical growth. Best of all, it’s fun and memorable!
Michael and Natalie Thompson are the founders of Lantern Camps. As directors of an overnight camp for twelve years, they are passionate in their desire for more kids to experience the positive impact of overnight camp. Michael has worked in camping for more than 25 years, and Natalie brings a background in psychotherapy, careers which help them identify a diverse collection of camps across the U.S. As camp directors, they speak to the value of overnight camp. As parents, they share the same concerns as you.
In a world with endless possibilities for your child's summer, it’s time to consider the option that will have a meaningful and profound impact on the future of your son or daughter. Lantern Camps represents those camps that are serious in their desire to build better brothers and sisters, future mothers and fathers, husbands and wives and thoughtful leaders and citizens.
Light the lantern and find your camp today.
