Dr. Tina Payne Bryson,
Dr. Tina Payne Bryson

Dr. Bryson is the co-author (with Dan Siegel) of the best-selling THE WHOLE-BRAIN CHILD (Random House Delacorte, 2011). She is a psychotherapist at Pediatric and Adolescent Psychology Associates in Arcadia, California where she offers parenting consultations and provides therapy to children and adolescents. She speaks to parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world and she has written for numerous venues, including, SkillForKids and the PBS series “This Emotional Life.” She has also co-hosted a web-based parenting show and makes frequent media appearances, most recently on “Good Morning America” and in Redbook Magazine. She is the Child Development Director for Lantern Camps and holds a variety of professional positions in numerous schools and camps. Tina earned her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, where her research explored attachment science, childrearing theory, and the emerging field of interpersonal neurobiology.

Michael Thompson,
Michael Thompson

For more than 25 years, Michael has worked in a variety of capacities in camping. During his time as Director of Camp Chippewa for Boys, he significantly increased camper prospect conversion and current family retention through program design, staff training and innovative marketing. Michael has spoken nationally on a range of camping, fundraising and child development subjects as well as having appeared on the web-based show “The Intentional Parent.” His articles and opinion pieces have appeared in Camping Magazine, and other regional publications. Michael and his wife Natalie founded Lantern Camps in 2013 to promote and strengthen independent residential camps.
